Holiday gifts for employees that warm the heart — and support the North

Some holiday gifts for employees are lovely, useful and pleasant. And some gifts tell a bigger story. At a time when small businesses in northern Israel are facing heavy challenges — ongoing uncertainty, falling income and a disrupted daily routine — choosing a holiday gift can turn from a nice corporate gesture into a genuine act of mutual responsibility. That's exactly the idea Love Tzafon was born from: connecting companies, organizations and people who want to give wholeheartedly with local northern businesses that need support now more than ever. The holidays always bring a moment of pause. A time to thank your employees, to appreciate their dedication, to remind them that they matter and to make them feel seen. But this year, more than ever, where the gift comes from carries real meaning. When you choose holiday gifts for employees from small businesses in the North, you're not only making the recipient happy — you're also strengthening families, communities, producers, farmers, studio owners, artists, bakers, wineries, delis, workshops and boutique shops that are fighting to keep going. Behind every small business in the North there are real people. A family hoping to start the morning with a new order. A business owner who keeps packing gift boxes even when it's hard to concentrate. A producer holding on to employees, suppliers and a dream. An entire community that feels every purchase as a breath of air. In ordinary times it's easy to forget how much the local economy depends on our small choices. Right now, those choices matter more than ever. This is where Love Tzafon comes in — a non-profit project created out of real love for the North and a deep sense of responsibility. The goal is simple and clear: to ease the burden on small businesses hit by the situation, to help them reach new audiences, and to encourage companies and organizations to choose gifts with double value. Value for employees, who receive a quality, personal and moving gift — and value for businesses, who get a chance to keep operating, keep earning and keep building hope. When you're looking for holiday gifts for employees, there's plenty to choose from. You can go for local produce boxes with olive oil, honey, wine, herbal teas, chocolate, cheeses, baked goods or natural skincare. You can give handmade pieces, experiences, vouchers for local businesses, homeware, or personal gifts with an authentic northern character. Every gift like this carries something no large factory can produce: a story, character, a human touch and a sense of belonging. Organizationally, this choice sends an important message too. Employees appreciate companies that act on their values. They feel proud when their workplace chooses not just to buy a gift, but to take part in something broader. A gift like this tells an employee: we value you — and in the same breath, we're choosing to support our country, its communities and the businesses that need a hand. That message strengthens connection, workplace culture and identification with the company. Beyond that, buying locally creates a wide ripple effect. The business owner buys raw materials from nearby suppliers, employs staff, pays tradespeople and keeps the money in the region. One holiday gift can become a whole movement of support. Right now, when so many businesses in the North are dealing with a difficult reality, every order gives them room to breathe and a reason to keep going.

Who we are:

We're a group of volunteers from Zichron Ya'akov, working entirely non-profit. We came together to build this project and this website in order to help small businesses in northern Israel — businesses facing serious hardship because of the current situation and the war. Our hearts go out to these business owners and their families, and we feel a duty to help and to make a real difference. Our aim is to ease the pressure on them and help them get through this difficult period, because their survival matters to us and to the country's economy as a whole.
